FAQs

Are your candles scented?

Yes are candles are all scented using the highest quality fragrance oils we can source. The oils we use are all 100%, vegan, cruelty free, CMR, phthalate, paraben and silicone free. We are able to make scent-free candles and melts upon request, feel free to get in touch with us for more information. All our fragrances and wax are sourced from UK suppliers.

How can i make the most out of my burn?

  • Always trim the wick to 1/4 inch before lighting, this ensures a cleaner and safer burn.

  • Let the candle burn for approx 2-3 hours the first time you light it, but avoid leaving the candle burning for more than 4 hours at a time.

  • Let your candle create a big enough burn pool so it can reach the edges of the container, this stops 'tunneling' of the wax which eventually can stop the candle from burning properly.

Why does my candle appear bumpy after lighting?

We only use 100% soy wax, therefore after the wax settles it can appear bumpy and rough sometimes. This can be caused when the hot wax in the melt pool cools and solidifies at an inconsistent rate. This is unfortunately just a feature of soy wax. However the benefits of using soy outweigh the appearance.

Why soy wax?

We choose to use soy wax for our candles as opposed to parafin and other waxes. This is due to the soy being carbon neutral, meaning it is a renewable source of wax. It ensures a much cleaner burn and is creamier. It produce less than 90% less soot than paraffin due to these waxes containing petroleum.
